Julia Wilkens Design
Am Samstag während des Minimarktes
Julia hails from the Frankfurt/Main region of Germany, but has lived in Amsterdam for over 20 years. She originally moved to the city to live with her best friend, now her husband.
Having worked for many years in the contemporary art world, Julia made the switch to the contemporary yarn world in 2017.
Julia has always altered patterns to better flatter herself and her tastes and in 2019 took the leap into publishing her own designs. Colourwork yoke sweaters are a particular favourite for Julia, and she takes her inspiration from fine art and from nature.

Meet Soraya: ''Although I am from Madrid, I live in Amsterdam. Since 2018 I’ve been directing the independent publishing project Yedraknits and designing knitting patterns. I like to play around with exciting constructions and always give my patterns a script twist. The knitters say they are fun and learn a lot from them.
I am passionate about knitting and teaching everything I learn about knitting.
Maaike van Geijn

Maaike van Geijn was born in the Netherlands and grew up between the US and Haarlem. She now lives with her family in Schoorl, a small town by the sea, dunes and woods. Maaike studied theatre costumes and did her master's degree in Theatre Studies. She opted for a career as a curator in the theatre and enjoyed doing that work for many years.
When Maaike was pregnant with her daughter, she picked up her knitting needles again and hasn't stopped since. In her designs Maaike looks for elegance but also likes her work to be playful, either in shape or colour. Her starting point is always the yarn: it’s structure, colour and composition. Above all, Maaike wants her designs to be a pleasant knitting experience, so that knitters can really enjoy the process.
Maaike’s work has been published by Laine, La Bien Aimée & Kate Davies and in the future will be published by John Arbon, Erika Knight yarns, Laine and PRU yarns.
Cinthia Vallet & Friends

Cinthia lives in Nantes with her husband, kids, furry companions and a lot of wolly friends !
With an aesthetic rooted in her passion for kids literature, she designs knitted animals with an original method that fully reinvigorates the experience of toy knitting and she writes patterns to empower every knitter to make their owns. She’s the author of Mouche and friends, seamless toys to knit and love, published by Laine Publishing.

''My name is Mie Firring. I have been the owner of Spektakelstrik since 2016. I trained as a graphic designer and worked as an Art Director in the advertising industry until 2020, when Spektakelstrik became my way of life. I live in Aalborg with my two children, husband and my dog, Kirsten.
I make knitting patterns for everyone, at all levels, and I've taken the time with wording, layout and with videos that guide you confidently through your knitting project, whether you're a complete beginner or experienced.

Cast on Party mit ChrisBerlin.knits
Am Fr und Sa im Hof 2, draussen, 14 Uhr
Chrisberlin.knits veröffentlicht kurz vor dem WWW ihr sage und schreibe 100. Design! Und weil das ein Grund zu feiern ist, kommt sie nicht nur auf eine, sondern gleich auf zwei cast-on Parties bei uns vorbei. Cool!
Freitag und Samstag, jeweils um 14 Uhr, wird das neue Design gemeinsam angeschlagen und losgestrickt. Wer erst mal schauen und nicht direkt angeschlagen möchte ist aber ebenfalls herzlich willkommen: Schaut und probiert das neue Modell an, checkt Farbkombis aus oder sagt Chris einfach mal Hallo!
